As a Maths Teaching Assistant your role will involve you supporting the progress of pupils within KS3 and KS4. With regular feedback and lesson preparation within the department, this progress can be evidenced, and any additional support planned for. As the successful Maths Teaching Assistant will give you the opportunity to experience all aspects of the teaching role prior to taking on your own teacher training. All support staff are given the chance to get involved in CPD opportunities and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator values the work of the Maths Teaching Assistant.
To be considered you will need to be an inspirational Maths graduate who has had some experience working with secondary aged children and great communication skills with parents/ carers. You will be able to consistently display a motivational attitude and appropriately deal with difficult situations. You will have the drive and initiative to get involved in school projects or after school activities from early on in the role.
