EXPERIENCED PROJECT MANAGER / DIRECTOR
REQUIRED BY ANTI-INFECTIVES BIOTECH COMPANY
PRE-CLINICAL & CLINICAL STUDY EXPERIENCE
ANTI-INFECTIVES/MICROBIOLOGY EXPERIENCE AN ADVANTAGE
Destiny Pharma PLC is a virtual, anti-infectives biotech company and has a vacancy for an experienced Project Manager/Project Director to join its senior team based at Sussex Innovation Centre near Brighton, UK. Some remote/home working is also possible. Destiny has recently listed in London and is well funded to progress its exciting clinical and pre-clinical candidates over the next few years.
The role will suit experienced candidates who have managed research and clinical projects using outsourced service providers. The candidate will report to the CSO and the job will include close involvement with the rest of Destiny's experienced R and D team.
Part of the role is managing the important collaboration Destiny is running with a large Chinese pharma company (China Medical Systems/CMS) whereby Destiny and CMS are jointly managing certain research and clinical projects. The project has just started and is in the research phase, and the candidate will play a key role in managing the planned joint projects as well as coordinating the overall relationship. The role will therefore involve some limited travel to Hong Kong/China.
The candidate will also get involved in non-CMS projects including pre-clinical research and clinical programs and the involvement here will be varied. The candidate will need to be prepared to show some flexibility and adapt to a changing workload depending on the state of the various projects. The variety of work and high profile in a small team means that the role will be rewarding and will enable the candidate to demonstrate their skills and gain further experience in a virtual company with a relatively flat reporting structure.
