Sandhata was formed in 2005 and specialises in industry leading enterprise-wide DevOps strategies and technologies. Clients typically tend to be larger multinationals, generally but not exclusively specialising in Banking and Financial Services. Headquartered from London there is a significant presence in India. Total staff are circa 80 heads split between the two locations. Revenues are growing at 40%+ CAGR p.a.
THE ROLE
Due to the group's rapid expansion there is now a requirement for a full time accountant. The role will report into the Chief Administration Officer who has previously run the day to day accounts function. The requirements of the position cover all the major accounting disciplines of a fast growing organisation and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a top to bottom hands on approach. JOB DESCRIPTION
The main requirements of the role are as follows:
- Financial accounting
- Preparation of financial accounts including group consolidation
- Maintenance of the GL and main accounting system including multi-currency aspects
- Reconciliation of ledger accounts
- Maintenance of intercompany accounts with Indian subsidiary
- Raising and posting journals
- Preparation and maintenance of all reports eg balance sheets, P&L, cashflow etc.
- Preparation of year end Trial Balance and related files for audit
- Management accounting
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Maintenance and reporting against KPI's
- Tracking and reporting against budgets
- Other analysis as required
- Payroll
- Preparation of monthly payroll figures and files for transfer to outsourced payroll provider
- Calculation of sales commissions and staff bonuses
- Pensions administration
- Timesheet management and payments to contractors
- Invoicing and Accounts Payable

a. N.B. the group has a small number of high value clients (currently) and so there are limited volumes of invoicing and credit control issues
b. Issuing invoices to agreed PO's
c. Following up receivables and chasing overdue debts where necessary
d. Dealing with any payment or invoicing queries - Accounts Payable
- Management of the AP ledger
- Receipt and entry of supplier invoices
- Management and operation of payment runs and issuing remittances
- Management and reconciliation of staff company credit card accounts
- Cash and Bank
- Reconciliation of all main bank accounts (UK and India)
- Responsibility for administration of online provider portal
- Cash flow reporting
- VAT and Taxes
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns
- Intrastat/EU reporting as required
- Preparation/provision of analysis for corporate tax returns to company Accountants

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- The role would ideally suit a part qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA but fully qualified applicants would be considered
- Experience:
- Capable of working independently in a smaller, entrepreneurial organisation
- Good accounting systems experience (the group will be implementing a cloud-based solution in H1 2018)
- Multi-currency reporting
- Basic consolidation skills (the group is currently a UK holding company and an Indian subsidiary)
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to be able to communicate well across different levels of employees
- Good understanding of basic payroll functions
