Our client is a highly regarded civil engineering consultancy specialising in civil design work, highways and transportation, flood risk, and drainage on a wide and varied range of projects.

You will have graduated with at least a 2:1 Civil Engineering degree. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well in a small team.

The role will involve assisting the more senior engineers and directors in a wide range of areas, including the detailed design of adoptable and private highways, foul and surface water drainage systems, external levels and construction details, along with the production of planning documents required to gain permission for new developments including Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Transport Assessments.

Knowledge of AutoCAD is essential, either from University training or from previous work experience. Previous use of Microdrainage, ARCADY/PICADY, or HEC-RAS software would be an advantage but is not essential and full training will be provided where necessary to aid development, with the opportunity to gain all round experience in civil engineering consultancy and design projects.
