Due to a period of continued growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Aluminium Window Polisher to join a long standing and successful provider of marine windows. Based in Birmingham, the successful Aluminium Window Polisher will earn a salary of £17,680 - £18,720 per annum (dependant on experience) with the option to work additional paid overtime as well. There are both part-time, full-time and flexible working hours available.
Whilst still being relatively small and family run, the company is extremely successful in what they do and are keen to bring on ambitious individuals to support their plans for future growth. The main responsibility of the Aluminium Window Polisher will be to gather, grind, linish, polish and prepare extruded aluminium parts, correcting defects and preparing for coating using hand and power tools. Additional key duties will include, but not be limited to:

The main responsibility of the Aluminium Window Polisher will be to gather, grind, linish, polish and prepare extruded aluminium parts, correcting defects and preparing for coating using hand and power tools. Additional key duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Working with files or other abrasives to complete the finishing process
- Verifying quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them
- Following works orders to customer requirements
- Carrying out supplier delivery runs as required by the daily production
- Quality checking coated aluminium parts inwards
- Gaining a basic understanding of the company’s product characteristics and range
- Assisting in modifications and process improvement programmes where required
- Experience in linishing metals (ideally aluminium)
- Some knowledge of the painting and anodising process
- Full clean driving license and experience of van deliveries
- Experience operating hand tools (orbital and rotary metal polishing tools desirable)
- Able to work well on own initiative and unsupervised
- Reliable with excellent work ethic
