A F Jones Stonemasons - Finance Manager

A highly respected & successful, family owned & operated stonemasons, continuing to build on 160 years of continuous operation, are seeking a proactive Finance Manager to help support the business with their continued growth.

The company comprises of a team of 25 permanent employees, with annual turnover of approximately £3M.  The company believes in the value and beauty of their work; and in turn this is underpinned by well managed finances.   

The Finance Manager is currently based at the company's Reading (Head) Office.  The position can be either a full-time role, or flexible part-time, to suit the successful candidate.

The key responsibilities for the Finance Manager role are as follows:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Accounts daily processing.
  • Management Accounting, incl. Project reporting.
  • Annual Accounting / Budgeting.
  • Staff Pensions Administration
  • CITB Grants Administration

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • AAT / ACCA / ACA Qualified
  • Working knowledge of Sage Line 50 Account software
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word + Excel, including exporting & working with data
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of the Senior Management Team.

Preferred / desirable:

  • Experience in Construction Industry setting
  • Experience in Construction Manager 50
  • Working knowledge of Sage Report Designer
  • Payroll CIPP Qualified or qualified by experience
