Tesco isn't just about food. We also bring great products to customers across our markets. Whether offered online or in-store - we strive to give customers a streamlined shopping experience giving them products they like, at prices they love.
From home furniture, to the latest 'craze' toy, to eco-friendly lightbulbs- we use insight to understand what our customers love and want. Innovation is key.
Our interns understand our customers, and truly get behind the brand. They challenge our status quo with their creativity and so help us to be ahead of the competition. We offer two routes in General Merchandise; Buying and Merchandising. You'll either develop and source great product ranges, or you'll strategically ensure the ranges are delivered to the right place, at the right time, for the right price.
In the same way we match the needs of our customers, we do the same with our interns. That's why we provide them with great training and development, helping them to continue to grow.
Main ResponsibilitiesOn the programme you'll follow a Buying or a Merchandising route. A Buyer works closely with our suppliers to ensure that we're sourcing the right products for customers. A Merchandiser delves into the detail of data, helping us ensure we have the right amount of stock at the right time.
Our General Merchandise graduates work with teams across the Tesco business, from Marketing to Online, you could be helping with brand development, or working through our supply chain.
