Starting salary £28.2-£31.4k with potential progression to £35.2k

We are really excited about this job – we already have a brilliant Education team and have recently widened the scope of this role and the team, to develop our work on engaging with young people.

We engage directly with around 20,000 young people each year and our Education team gets fantastic feedback from the schools that come to the National Park and take part in learning outside the classroom with us.

Now though, with new national initiatives and additional investment, we have widened our activities.  We engage with more young people in different ways, with an emphasis on getting practically involved in caring for the National Park. 

We are looking for a skilled and inspiring person to lead the team. The role will involve a mix of managing and developing the service we already provide and initiating new opportunities for engaging with more young people in creative and innovative ways.

To be successful you’ll need to be able to tell us about

• the current curriculum and the way in which outdoor education can deliver learning;
• your experience of teaching indoors and outdoors at a range of levels from reception to university level;
• your experience of developing new and innovative education activities;
• how you will manage and enthuse a small team of paid staff and volunteers;

The National Park and surrounding area is a fantastic place to live and work with excellent schools and good access to main transport links. This post will be based at our Visitor Centre in the heart of our wonderful National Park at Danby.
