Job Description
My client are a leading European energy trading house and an active player on the global wholesale markets for energy and energy-related raw materials in both their physical and/or derivative forms. They now have a new opening for a Head of Datacentre & Cloud, this person will define and maintain the Datacentre and Cloud roadmap with consideration to all affiliated operating companies.
Your tasks:
- Ensuring stable and resilient Datacentre and Cloud solutions are defined, implemented and managed to
- satisfy agreed customer SLAs across all operating companies
- Defining and maintaining the Datacentre and Cloud roadmap with consideration to all operating
- companies and any specific needs
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This includes the
- IT teams, business customers where interaction occurs, managed service partners and external vendors
- Defining and managing Datacentre and Cloud budgets and proactively proposing productivity measures for
- optimisation and cost effectiveness purposes as well as steering (planning, forecast, actual) of agreed
- budget and measurement of goal achievement
- Developing direct reports to create and support an environment where the employees work with high
- motivation and the skills to support the service and drive innovation
- Fostering intercultural collaboration and providing an environment where capabilities are recognised and
- put to effective use
- Managing the Cloud, server, database, storage and Collaboration Tools roadmaps from both an application
- perspective in collaboration with application domains and a technology perspective in collaboration with
- other infrastructure teams
Your profile:
- 10+ years of Datacenter & Cloud experience at a senior level in large complex organisations
- Good understanding of required IT infrastructure and excellent knowledge of Datacenter & Cloud architecture, design, operations, disaster recovery and ITIL service management processes
- Proven track record of leading and managing change, thinking creatively 'out of the box' to deliver ninnovative and cost effective strategies and roadmaps that work end-to- end and can be adapted as required as well as preparation, management and control of budgets adhering to IT Controlling processes and standards
- Experienced in influencing and working effectively in multiple cultures and at a range of levels and in leading international multi-disciplinary and multi-site operational and architecture teams as well as strong leadership and communication skills at all management levels to drive change
- Project management skills and experience in managing and steering of 3rd party providers including nmanaged service
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English and German and willingness to travel (30%)
