Our client are looking for a Reward Manager to join the team on an initial 12 month contract. Reporting into the Head of HR, you will be responsible for leading and managing programmes which will focus on reward, skills, capabilities and performance.

Key duties will include:

  • Designing and delivering reward, benefits and recognition strategy with policies/initiatives
  • Lead external research and benchmarking exercises to inform reward strategy development
  • Keep updated with legislative and market changes that impact on the total reward package
  • Working with internal stakeholders and trade union officials to manage the delivery of planned annual (or other appropriate timeframe) programmes such as annual pay review processes, improvements to the flexible benefits programme and future recognition initiatives
  • Lead the measurement and evaluation of all reward and recognition activities
  • Implementing design and administration of employee benefits, data analysis, and regulatory compliance
  • Design effective communications taking an active role in supporting the organisation and communication of promotional events to increase employee engagement
  • Undertake salary survey analysis, internal and external benchmarking exercises and market analysis
  • Oversee regulatory reporting to meet legislative requirements including Living Wage Accreditation and Gender Pay Gap Reporting
  • Support the ongoing development of people metrics, analysing data gathered from various sources, identifying gaps and trends that influence recommendations appropriate to organisational needs

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

  • Proven track record in leading, managing and delivering reward projects within the public sector
  • Strong project management skills, including experience of managing external benefits providers
  • Experience of consultation and negotiation with staff groups and/or trade unions
  • Chartered CIPD membership (or working towards) or other relevant qualification

This role would be suit someone who is working at Reward Manager level or working at HR Manager level with a substantial amount of experience in the reward space.
