They are now looking for an IT Apprentice to join them to provide administrative support to the IT department and provide 1st line helpdesk support for all internal users for companies within the Group.
Answering and logging IT service requests received via telephone, web-logged calls or email, you will provide first contact technical problem analysis and resolution of client issues with the aid of available service desk tools (i.e. Remote support, FAQs, troubleshooting guides and knowledge based articles) and log the action taken and the resolution.
Where first contact resolution is not possible, you must escalate calls to the appropriate group, periodically audit hardware and software throughout the Group and assist in the pro-active maintenance of Group systems and applications.
With knowledge of all Microsoft Packages (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.) and a strong interest in IT and computing, candidates must have good organisational skills and the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. Reliable, organised and able to meet deadlines, you must hold a minimum of 3 GCSE passes at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics in order to be eligible to complete the Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship and hold a valid driving licence as you may be required to attend other Group offices.
