- Preparation of detailed monthly management pack
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Variance analysis and working with departments closely to provide detailed commentary
- Month end and Ad hoc journal postings into Sage
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Cash management on Barclays Corporate Banking including payments, new users
- Assist the Head of Finance with year end statutory accounts including liaising with external auditors
- Other ad hoc management and external reporting that arises
- Review and improve current finance processes
Skills
- Proven experience of providing accurate and timely financial information to a high standard with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent Excel skills (V looks ups, Sum Ifs, Pivot Tables)
- Previous experience of VAT return preparation preferable
- Statutory accounts preparation preferable
- Experience using Sage 200
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Can do attitude and a willingness to get involved in the detail
- A drive to understand the business and to make process improvements where possible
