Director of Sales and Marketing - Luxury Boutique Hotel Group

Location: London

Salary: Up to GBP55,000 + Bonus!

SCOPE OF POSITION

In this challenging role the Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving revenue budgets of the hotel group from the following markets - Local & Global Corporate, Meetings, Events, Conferencing & Leisure. The candidate should be pro-active and energetic with a proven track record in achieving sales targets and the ability to execute effectively a focussed sales & marketing plan for the agreed market segments.

The property is a Boutique Hotel with solid local reputation that is currently in redevelopment.

We are looking for a well-rounded Sales and Marketing Director interested in developing a property by supporting the Room sales and assisting the Executive team in the promotion of the properties to local and national market .

You will be a major player in the revenue generation and have the possibility to create and develop package and offers to suit the needs of both the venue and the market.

KEY DUTIES & OBJECTIVES

* Plan and direct day to day operation of the sales & marketing function to ensure maximum revenue & profitability
* Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and national/international sales trips

* Devise and execute hotel sales & marketing promotional campaigns through local & national media, evaluating & reporting on marketing campaigns ROI
* Identification and management of all Corporate and Consortia RFP's
* Analysis of GDS production reports & intelligence information to develop business channel
* Product and report weekly & monthly on account performance and general activity to General Manager and Central Office
* Manage online marketing & brand website through content development and continually driving customers direct to this sale channel
* Represent the hotel at sales team meetings and other events as appropriate
* Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis; monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

* The ideal candidate will have strong Hotel Sales and Marketing experience , ideally in a management position within a 4* or 5* environment.

* They will also need excellent communication skills, be target driven

* It is essential that candidates can demonstrate their passion for exceptional customer service and their commitment to their team's development in their previous roles.
