We are expanding our London Transaction Services team and are looking for an experienced and ambitious Analyst to join the current select team of professionals in London.

Responsibilities

Analysts have the opportunity to be involved in Transaction Services engagements, working closely with our managers, partners and directors. Eight Advisory Analysts are expected to:

  • use their financial analysis and report writing skills, identifying the key issues and valuation considerations relating to the transaction
  • adopt a structured approach when analysing and quantifying the impact of operational issues relating to the transaction
  • demonstrate a rigorous understanding of different types of transaction engagements, identifying the key legal issues they present to international clients
  • possess a thorough understanding of the regulations governing cross-border transactions, and their potential implications on client strategy
  • report in to the senior members of the team, including partners, and gain ‘on the job’ learning and development
  • take an active role in business development supporting and enhancing existing client relationships and helping to develop new client relationships
  • liaise with our global partner firms on cross-border transactions
  • review financial elements of SPAs and other transaction related legal documents

Required skills and experience

  • Excellent academic record, with an undergraduate degree of 2.1 or above, plus a post graduate degree and/or professional accountancy or legal qualification
  • Prior experience in UK Transaction Services (financial due diligence) is essential
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential, additional languages highly desirable
  • Prior experience in reviewing UK legal documents and implementing ‘governance, risk and compliance’ regulation essential
  • Experience in reviewing SPAs and other transaction related legal documents is essential
  • Knowledge of UK KYC requirements is essential
  • Strong numerical and financial skills, with the ability to link operational analysis to financial reporting
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with advanced excel skills required to analyse large volumes of data
  • Prior experience preparing high-quality PowerPoint reports and presentations
  • Prior experience of working with global private equity clients or blue chip corporates.
  • An existing network of professional relationships in the corporate finance, venture capital and private equity industries in Europe and other countries that are part of the Eight International Alliance
