Senior Graphic/ Surface/Print Designer

it luggage, founded in 1985, is an award winning innovative luggage and travel goods business with offices in UK, US, Australia, Hong Kong and China.  They are expanding and ideally looking for an experienced studio manager to handle graphic design briefs, create/brief print designs & artwork and manage prints & solid colours.

The role involves:

• Interpreting briefs and specifications to create visual designs
• Designing graphics for hang tags, product labels, banners and packaging to customer specification or from internally generated ideas.
• Preparing presentations for clients to agreed specification and formats
• Retouching and image processing
• Creating “mock ups” of hang tags, display boxes and other POS products
• Simple artworker jobs when required
• Undertaking continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends
• Photographing samples for POS products
• Distributing work and managing our freelance print designers
• Creating factory ready print artworks
• CAD work applying prints to product
• Managing all print & solid colours including presentations, selections, approvals, displays and filing.
• Creating customer presentation boards & trend boards
• Recolouring of existing prints
• Identifying seasonal key trends – use of WGSN

To be considered you must have:

• Contemporary taste with creative flair
• Ability to work well with others and be a team player
• A design related degree in graphics or textiles
• Minimum 6 years relevant commercial experience
• Proven leadership & management skills/ability
• Excellent CAD skills on Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially In Design
• An excellent sense of colour & a clear understanding of CMYK and spot colour printing processes
• An excellent eye for detail & great organizational skills
• Experience of working in a high output & busy environment
