Steel Fabricator / Welder

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company in a stable and secure role. Based at Redditch in Worcestershire, they are the leading manufacturer of magnetic separation equipment to a wide range of industries such as aggregate and quarrying, packaging & food processing and many more.

To complete a wide range of welding and fabricating tasks to set procedures and to follow engineering drawings to a high level of accuracy.

They are offering a permanent position with an immediate start, a competitive rate of pay depending on your experience.

Required Qualifications/skills:
- A minimum NVQ level 1 in Performing Manufacturing Operations
- You will be fully qualified to City and Guilds or equivalent in Fabrication and Welding Parts 1&2
- and/or City and Guilds or equivalent in Structural and Thick plate Fabrication and Welding.
- Or Time-served recognised apprenticeship or equivalent
- You'll understand how to work from and read technical drawings.
- Minimum 2 years of production experience
- To carry out the role safely and effectively
- A counterbalance forklift license and an ability to use overhead cranes would be desirable

Key responsibilities and tasks
- Complete tasks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all health and safety requirements
- Complete welding tasks as and when required in a reasonable timescale
- Follow good housekeeping practises to ensure your working area is kept clean and tidy
- To ensure effective communication in a professional manner, with your Line Manager and colleagues.
- Pro-active and self-motivated

You will be asked to complete a weld test on interview.
