I have an exciting opportunity available for a senior care assistant to join a leading care provider who specialises in the delivery of high quality care and support for older adults, some of whom have a dementia diagnosis.
Employed on a full time basis, you will work a varied rota to include weekends and bank holidays, and will be responsible for effectively leading a team of carers to deliver person centred care and support and truly make a difference to the lives of the people who live here.
Your duties will be varied and will include, care and support planning, shift leading, liaising with visitors to the service and ensuring that personal care is delivered in a dignified manner. You will be responsible for administering medication, compiling accurate reports and promoting an environment that is warm, welcoming and comfortable.
This is the perfect opportunity for an already established health care assistant or senior who can demonstrate a proven background within in elderly, residential care settings and is proficient in leading a staff team.
You must also hold the QCF level 3 in health and social care and up to date medication training.
Knowledge and experience of dementia care and support, as well as knowledge of safeguarding and CQC policies and procedures is essential.
In return for your extensive knowledge, skills and experience, you will receive a generous hourly rate up to £9 per hour, as well as an enhanced hourly rate at the weekend. Continued training, development and genuine progression opportunities, will also form part of your package.
