The HR Advisor will be responsible for:

+ ensuring full legal compliance with local laws and regulations.
+ working with the local management, implementing proactive, creative HR solutions for the business. 
+ providing proactive and reactive HR support for local management teams.

Main Responsibilities Include: 

People:


+ Drive the annual performance review process and work with local management to develop resulting action plans 
+ Work with local management to drive employee engagement initiatives and action points
+ Work with local management on restructuring activity
+ Support local management on the discipline & grievance processes, supporting the developing of local management competence and leading from a procedural perspective
+ Support local management on absence management & rehabilitation processes, developing local management competence and leading from a procedural perspective
+ Support local management on maternity, parental leave and other processes, developing local management competence and leading from a procedural perspective
+ Deliver specialist training & leadership development
+ Provide support and coaching for local management on people management and development
+ Provide a visible HR presence throughout the business
+ Work with local management on terminations; including redundancies, dismissals and agreements
+ Work with local management on on-boarding (induction plans)
+ Ensure job descriptions are written and distributed throughout your area of responsibility 
+ Work with local management on changes of terms / harmonisations, leading the process
+ Work with local management on tactical recruitment
+ Work with local management on Employee Relations issues; leading on case management, providing representation / attendance at tribunals where appropriate
+ Update senior management on progress to date and on impending legal changes.

TUPE:

+ Support on TUPE activity within the business, working with local management 

Mergers & Acquisitions:

+ Support on all HR elements of M&A activity within the business

Legal:

+ Ensure that the business is and remains compliant with local employment law.
+ Provide local legal expertise for the business
+ Provide updates for the business on forthcoming legal changes.

Functional:

+ Develop, maintain and distribute Company policies / procedures / templates, ensuring all are tailored for the business as appropriate. 
+ Maintain trackers updating of various HR activities, including discipline & grievances
+ Ensure the appropriate solutions or providers for payroll and HR administration are applied within the business area. 
+ Work with the EMEA HR team on BBA wide initiatives and projects 
+ Attend HR or business meetings within EMEA as required 

Projects:

+ Work on projects as and when required

Any other duties that may reasonably be requested by the HR team or other senior member of staff


HR Advisor Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: 

+ Educated to degree standard or equivalent
+ HR related qualification achieved or working towards a qualification 
+ Demonstrates integrity in all business interactions and honours commitments
+ Experience in a HR function within payroll, HR administration, recruitment or an advisory capacity 
+ Up to date knowledge of current and future employment legislation and best practice
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and line managers
+ Energy to change and challenge the status quo to drive the business forward 
+ Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
