A fantastic opportunity is immediately available for an ambitious and driven Structural CAD Technician to become a leading part of a highly regarded, independent engineering consultancy based in Leicester. Our client is the looking to welcome the successful applicant to play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of projects delivered across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and have developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality work for its client base. Our client is looking to pay a salary of up to 35,000 for this role, in addition to offering a wide range of exciting benefits and a company pension.
In order to be considered for this Structural CAD Technician role you will:
- Hold a HNC/ HND degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Possess experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
- Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD
- Experience with Revit is desirable though not essential
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key responsibilities of this Structural CAD Technician role include:
- Play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects
- Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation
- Update and revise previous drawings
- Aid the development of more junior employees
- Carry out steel and concrete layout detailing
