Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Collections Manager (Social and Supported Rent) to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £50,000 - £53,000 per annum.

Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. Our combined scale and strong focus on London will uniquely position us to revolutionise housing delivery and redefine best practice – and you will be central to making it happen.

This Collections Manager (Social and Supported Rent) is a key delivery role of the Collections Team. You will have overall responsibility for collecting all the social and supported housing rents and service charges; the largest proportion of the Peabody Group’s rent debit.

You will work with colleagues to implement collection strategies devised by the Collections Analytics team, to feedback on the deliverability of strategies, ensure that collection teams work within agreed policies and procedures as well as passporting cases through to early intervention services where appropriate.

Knowledge/experience/skills required by the Collections Manager (Social and Supported Rent):

- Substantial experience of leading, managing and motivating Collections teams in a large, complex organisation (Regulatory sector is desirable) 

- Understanding of applicable regulatory and legal frameworks, in particularly the social housing regulatory landscape (e.g. 1985 Landlord and Tenant Act).

- To have a good understanding of the importance of data quality and integrity so that you can act as a passionate and credible advocate of the effective use of Data Analytics in Collections.

- Working knowledge of modern Collection IT systems and experience in influencing how these can be made more effective or efficient.

- Proven experience of delivering results against targets in a period of change

- Practical Experience of managing complex change initiatives.

- Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven time management and prioritisation skills.

- Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets

- To ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organisation

- A commitment to continuing professional development.

Qualifications required by the Collections Manager (Social and Supported Rent):

Essential

- Educated to Degree Level and/or significant experience of working in leadership position in complex and challenging organisations

Desirable

- Equivalent Grade to 3 A-Levels is desirable

- Charted Institute of Credit Management (CICM) qualification or evidence of working towards it.
