We have an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join our client in Bedford in providing essential and valuable care to children and young people who have learning difficulties; predominately autism. Our client provides long term care and short term breaks for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years. You'll be working closely to support them in their development and help give them the start in life they really need. Working both individually and as part of a team you'll carry out activities to encourage independence and socialising. This includes ensuring a safe and stimulating environment and promoting self-esteem.

We are looking for experience working with children and young people with autism and in dealing with challenging behaviour. Our minimum requirements are 6 months' experience with a relevant qualification or 12 months' experience without. To apply for this role you will need to have experience in using visual aids and alternative methods of communication.

This role is for waking nights with approx 3 a week ongoing. An enhanced DBS on the online update service is needed; however we can assist you in applying for this.

To find out more about this role or any others we have to offer, please call Georgie on 01604 631797, email or you can apply online.
