Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP40,000
Bonus: % (based on personal performance)

A very exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative and extremely successful team of specialist accountants, working for a well known independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Northamptonshire. Our client is seeking to appoint an additional Manager due to increasing demands for their services.

Our client has a diverse client range that includes Sole Traders, Limited Companies and Partnerships. The firm is seeking someone with proven experience within practice and ideally ACA or ACCA fully qualified. The position will involve undertaking a diverse audit role.

You will look after a variety of clients, from small to larger corporate entities, working alongside experienced staff. This will also involve the planning of audit work which will involve full preparation of the planning section with input from manager and partner. The position will involve managing the work of other staff assisting you in audit fieldwork - providing on the job training for these assistants.

You may also get involved with company secretarial work, management accounts, corporate tax calculations and occasional project work on due diligence and company formations. The firm can offer a competitive salary, superb office facilities with parking.

The person should have at least 2 years solid experience working within an accountancy practice in the UK.
A competitive salary package is being offered dependent on experience. Salary Guide up to GBP40,000 plus bonus and benefits - dependent on qualifications & experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

The firm is a gold standard accredited training organisation for both ACCA and ICAEW and has an ethos of developing its people.
The person should be a qualified accountant, either ACA or ACCA

SPECIFIC ROLE DETAILS

Responsible for their own portfolio of clients and ensuring that
??Managing Client Portfolio
??Maintaining and building client relationships
?? Carrying out audits
??Preparation of annual accounts for Limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
??Preparation of corporation tax, partnership and personal tax returns
??Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
??Managing own budgets for productivity and cost recovery
??Providing technical support and training to junior staff if necessary
??Plan and deliver work
??Report writing

Our client also undertakes a large amount of advisory work for its clients and the Senior Accountant will be working with the Partners in preparing and drafting reports for clients.

EXPERIENCE

The person should have at least 2 years solid experience working within an accountancy practice in the UK.

??Microsoft Office
??Xero online accounting system
??Sage Line 50 accounts
??Sage Line 50 payroll

Experience of preparing from either base records to trial balance accounts and tax returns for

??Limited Companies
??Sole Traders
??Partnerships
??Limited Liability Partnerships

The firm is Audit Registered and therefore audit experience would also be essential
