Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a leading company in the West Lincolnshire area.


Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with accruals & prepayments ready for monthly accounts, month end journals, assisting with quarterly forecasts & annual budgeting process and the audit/tax pack, analysis, intercompany transactions, bank reconciliations, posting purchase ledger payments to bank accounts, KPI's, UK/European VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat and ad hoc duties such as occasional payroll cover.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be either part-qualified or qualified by experience with recent proven accounts experience and good technical skills. Experience in industry, ideally in a manufacturing environment, would be an advantage. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential. The candidate will also be used to working to strict deadlines and be able to demonstrate initiative, an organised approach to work and great attention to detail as well as strong analytical skills.
