We are looking to hire an experienced Finance Officer to be part of the Surrey Research Park Office based in the Surrey Technology Centre, responsible for raising all invoices and for the review and collection of all debts owed to the Surrey Research Park.

The team is supported by the University’s central Financial Transactions team, who provide a shared service of financial transactional processes covering both Purchase to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (OTC).

You will provide support to internal and external stakeholders in all areas of O2C including invoicing, debt collection, internal recharging and provision of management information where required. Ensuring compliance with the University’s Financial Transactions policies and procedures, whilst maintaining relationships with the University Finance team to deliver best practice and consistency of processes. As well as assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and year end financial accounts with writing and posting journals into the general ledger.

You will own and maintain the Research Park’s client database (holding leases and other tenancy related documentation) providing information on lease terms and notifying breaks and review dates.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience within a Financial Transactions environment.
  • A medium understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the application of internal controls.
  • High organisational skills with effective multi-tasking abilities.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
