Project Manager - NHS


I have a fantastic opportunity with NHS England for a Project Manager based in Derby or Chesterfield. This role is a temporary assignment for initially for 3 months with a view to be extended, Monday to Friday and full time 37 hours a week.


Project Manager - Job Purpose
You will be responsible for supporting the provision of a high quality, efficient and customer focused project management to a broad range of customer groups.
You will support the senior project manager. To provide an efficient and effective project management service ensuring that all good practice guidelines are followed and key documents are produced in a timely manner. Work internally and externally to ensure that lessons are learnt and benefits are clearly identified for projects. Coordinate activities leading to the successful delivery of projects including managing project activities, data migration and technical infrastructure
You will ensure projects maintain direction so they deliver against the customrs ICT Strategy. Manage and control concurrent multiple specialist projects, which impact across clinical and non-clinical areas is a key aspect of the role. Lead and facilitate the activities of project workstreams within and across multiple projects and ensure work packages are complete within project timescales. Produce core project documentation, to include: Project Mandates, Project Initiation Document(s) (PID) in line with PRINCE2 methodology and PMO standards.
You will as the Project Manager for specific projects, leads the project through Project Initiation, Delivery Agreements, detailed planning of deployments, implementations and verification process through to operational handover. Ensure that the various elements of the IM & T projects are delivering the benefits and are achieving the stated objectives, on time and within the available funds. Responsible for contributing to business change management and benefits realisation. Contribute to Informatics and ICT strategy development identifying long-term requirements through the interpretation of NHS and organisation polices and requirements.
Project Manager - Key skills:
You will need to have a background in managing IT Projects within the NHS or similar Public Sector Environment. Or if you have any experience of IT Migration projects.
