Research Journalist

We have an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Research Journalist to join our team based in Uxbridge. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £16,500 per annum plus fantastic benefits.

IT Europa is the leading provider of market intelligence reports on the European IT and Telecoms market. We profile leading IT companies for inclusion in our database reports, do bespoke research, provide advertising services and host two annual events. We work with renowned IT organisations such as Adobe, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Google, IBM, Intel, Kaspersky, Microsoft, Oracle, among others.

About the role

Joining our small friendly Research team, your role will be to accurately research and update information in company profiles within our online database following General Data Protection Regulations (training will be provided).

Key Responsibilities of our Research Journalist

- Ensuring profiles are written to a high standard according to IT Europa’s reporting style and regulations

- Meeting deadlines and hitting productivity levels on an individual level as well as part of the wider team.

- Cooperating with other researchers as well as the Sales team to ensure the best quality of profiles are produced

- Finding new leads for database reports where appropriate, and passing them on to the Supervisor/Manager

- Occasionally interviewing/surveying high level company management over the phone, transcribing the interview quickly but efficiently, and translating the notes into meaningful data which can be profiled

- Making prompt Quality Check amendments after Supervisor/Manager has Quality Checked assigned profiles

- Completing miscellaneous tasks promptly but accurately

- To adhere to all data compliance regulations, as well as protect client and project confidentiality 

- There may be some occasional telemarketing and events work

- Help with elements of bespoke research done by management

- Excellent research and analytical skills, and high level of attention to detail.

- Fluent English speaker is essential

- Other European languages preferably French/Italian/German is desirable but any other European languages welcome

Working hours: 37.5 hours a week (Full Time). Either 8am to 4.30pm/ 9am-5.30pm (Start time flexible but to be confirmed by Manager)
