Business Analyst - IT Systems Birmingham, West Midlands 40,000 - 50,000 pa Innovative and fast growing ecommerce and logistics based software house requires experienced IT Business Analyst with a good variety of both software and general IT based requirements capture experience. This role is primarily concerned with the development of both in-house and 3rd party IT systems to ensure optimal utilisation and continuous improvement. In this role you will take responsibility for ensuring that: their main software product and any 3rd party systems are continually improved in line with the business requirement and that optimal use is made of these systems by clients, the business and through a process of rolling out best system practice throughout various sites. There will be a level of involvement in new client integration, plus periods of business support and managing the development request process. Required Skills and Experience: 3-5 years BA type experience of analysing and documenting complex business processes with "as is" and "to be" states Proven experience interacting directly with end users. Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills Must have strong experience and abilities in writing and analysing specifications Day to day Responsibilities also include: Sharing of knowledge and system best practice Identification and recommendation for any cross-site utilisation of development requests Business support to relevant sites Collating conceptual requests from IT users and discussing with management the relevance to best practice, further information required and time for development. Presentations to development committee and/or obtaining PO's from relevant clients Attending client integration meetings Identifying any client requirements that are not currently covered Advising possible solutions to client Advising the integration team of required development time, further information required etc. and then performing follow-ups IT Testing on new developments including some mechanical testing to ensure that development works correctly to development request Advising QA colleagues and users that new development is ready for UAT Testing, providing liaison between UAT designates and IT Team to ensure all issues are resolved This is an excellent time to join this thriving and diversifying business!
