Job Description:

  • Develop and document current stock valuation processes
  • Development and maintenance of an excellent understanding of production processes and procedures
  • Propose a standard costing system for the business that provides an effective solution to the business needs, now and in the medium and long term
  • Implement the agreed standard costing solution in an ERP system
  • Development of internal processes to facilitate the production of daily stock movement checks
  • Participate in monthly stock counts
  • Review and improve financial processes and systems ensuring that effective internal controls and processes exist to safeguard the companies' assets
  • To produce accurate and timely information, interpreting and analysing the data and making appropriate comments and recommendations
  • Effective liaison with the Finance team, Production, Fulfilment and Supply Chain personnel
  • To be the ERP system subject matter expert for Finance maintaining an up to date knowledge of systems and best practice
  • Participation in the budgetary and forecast process
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the wider team within the business

The Successful Applicant:

  • QBE, Part or Fully Qualified Accountant
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and implementation
  • Knowledge of standard costing systems and implementation
  • Food industry(FMCG) experience would be an advantage
  • Working in an SME environment would be advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • Team player
  • Willing and keen to learn
  • Good organisational ability
  • An interest in food is desirable.
  • Driven by a desire to produce excellent work, both individually and as part of a highly motivated team
  • Adopts a flexible and proactive approach to work duties
