H9 Technical are currently working exclusively with a joint venture partnership in recruiting for a major package of work on the Hinkley Point C Nuclear new build. We are looking for a Site Supervisor on either a salaried, or long-term contract basis, to be based on site, with competitive pay on offer.
Role Overview:
Completes construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff.
Role Duties:
- Oversee day to day operations on site.
- Provide for site safety and security.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Devise and implement site policies and procedures.
- Monitor fire alarm control panels and other emergency equipment.
- Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company or statutory regulations.
- Keep accurate records of employee attendance and timesheets.
- Supervise and evaluate staff; complete employee reviews.
- Provide positive direction to motivate quality performance.
- Discipline personnel when necessary and appropriate.
- Set project goals and oversee projects to completion.
- Schedule and track assignments.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with contracted service level agreements.
Qualifications:
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- IOSH Managing Safely for Construction Managers or equivalent.
Experience:
- Possess a minimum of five years' experience in managing and supervising activities on construction project with a significant track record of successful work.
- Proficiency with multiple computer operating systems and software applications
- Reading comprehension of technical documents
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Exemplary analytic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proven leadership skills with a large and diverse workforce
- Ability to nurture effective professional relationships with staff and clients
- Strong project management abilities
- Confidence to thrive under pressure
- Professional demeanour and attitude
- Experience with nuclear facility construction a distinct advantage.
