WellChild, based in the centre of Cheltenham, is the national charity for sick children. We fund programmes and services to care for and support children and young people who are living with serious illness or have complex care needs.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a resourceful and creative individual to join our expanding Helping Hands team. This unique and innovative programme undertakes one-off home improvement projects which have a positive and practical impact on the lives of these children and young people. 

Although no formal qualifications are required, the successful candidate must be able to evidence that they possess a wide range of practical DIY skills as well as administrative and project management experience. They must have strong organisational skills with the ability to balance a fast-paced workload with clear forward planning and an eye for detail.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams of corporate volunteers in order to deliver these life changing home make-over projects are essential. This role will require the successful candidate to personally carry out a significant amount of outdoor manual work including hard landscaping and to very tight deadlines.

This is a permanent full time role, based in Cheltenham but with extensive travel and working around the UK.
