Location: Birmingham
Salary: GBP20,000-GBP25,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Excellent training opportunities available
Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday + half day every other Saturday

The Company: Our client, founded in 1960, is a well-respected supplier of "Second to none" service within the Transport & Distribution industry and has one of the largest privately owned fleets in Birmingham. Due to expansion, there is currently an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join the team.

The Role: As a Transport Planner, your role will include briefing and debriefing drivers, liaising with customers and drivers on a regular basis and dealing with real-time driver issues. You will also be involved in active monitoring of driver loads and customer requirements which can change on a minute-by-minute basis.

There are excellent opportunities to progress within this role and our client is a strong advocate of training and promotion within the business.

The Candidate: To be considered for the role of Transport Planner, you must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Previous transport and distribution experience is essential, alongside good knowledge of road networks and a full UK driving licence. Previous automotive experience and aspirations to progress within the business are highly desirable.
