Account Manager

Our client is the publisher of a local publication and online directory that offers local businesses the opportunity to advertise their products and services in a manner that is more cost effective than local press. They are continually growing both their readership and client base and have established a strong reputation for professionalism and quality since the company launched over 15 years ago
As a Trainee Account Manager you will source and service advertisers with the view to build the magazines reputation, client-base and profitability.
You will be allocated a specific geographical area and your aim is to fill the advertising pages through rebooking existing customers and cold calling potential new business.
You will be fully accountable for developing and managing a magazine through effective:
" telephone sales;
" account management;
" face-to-face presentations;
" copy and design layout;
" field visits to improve local knowledge;
" post-sale customer service.
We are looking for someone who:
" has excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
" has the ability to write and present documents in a professional manner;
" has the ability to keep key objectives and goals firmly in sight;
" can resolve any unforseen problems quickly, effectively and efficiently;
" is able to accurately report opportunities, sales and results when requested.
