Job Title: Community Lottery Assistant

Dove House Hospice, Hull

Please note: The post holder will cover areas including Molescroft, Driffield, Market Weighton up to Bridlington. For operational efficiency, these will be areas covered. However, the hospice reserves the right to alter this either on a temporary or permanent basis at any point if required.

Salary: £15,110 - £16,592 full time equivalent pro-rata per annum. Actual salary of £8,058 - £8,849 per annum

Hours of work: 20 hours per week (flexible hours to be worked, will include evenings and weekend working)

About us:  Dove House Hospice is a charity providing excellent care for people in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire with life limiting illnesses. We are specialists in palliative care which is the total care of patients whose illness is no longer curable and for whom the goal must be quality of life.

The Challenge:  Working as part of the Lottery Department, the post holder will work to set targets and within a designated geographical area, inspire and recruit new supporters/players to the weekly membership lottery scheme through door-to-door, in-store and event promotion throughout Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and other areas for a third party.

The requirements:

We are looking for a Community Lottery Assistant with the following:

  • Previous experience in a sales or promotional role
  • Experience and ability to work well within a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A tenacious attitude
  • Ability to work using own Initiative
  • To have legible handwriting
  • Ability to self-motivate and motivate others within a team
  • To hold a current and valid driving licence with access to a car or other means of transport.
