Salary: GBP32,486 - GBP35,444
Full Time: 37 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and development of the Estates infrastructure required to support front line operational firefighting staff in one of the largest combined Fire and Rescue Services in the country.
We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor who will be based in Trowbridge and responsible for covering the Wiltshire and Swindon area.
The successful candidate will:
- be responsible for the delivery of capital and revenue projects and assisting colleagues with the identification of reactive maintenance solutions using appointed external contractors
- assist with legislative compliance, undertaking specialist audit surveys and the co-ordination of associated outcomes and works identified
- be responsible for carrying out annual condition surveys and cost estimates to assist the Building Services Manager in planning a 5 year rolling maintenance programme.
You must have:
- 4 GCSE's Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent Level 2 qualification
- MRICS or equivalent qualification, educated to degree level
- Significant knowledge and experience of design and construction standards, project management procedures and requirements, health and safety in construction, condition surveys, cost estimating, design and on-site work management
You are:
- Flexible in your approach to work and able to work in a changing environment
- Able to work on your own initiative, with good organisational and time management skills
- An effective communicator, with a positive attitude to customer care
