Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Property Repairs Inspector on behalf of our client a leading social housing provider based in Halifax.

Our client is looking for a Property Repairs Inspector to join their team based out of Halifax, West Yorkshire. The successful applicant for the Repairs Inspector post will be appointed to carry out inspections to the Group’s housing stock, both prior and post repairs, maintenance and/or refurbishment work. This work will be throughout the Calderdale Valley area.

The successful applicant can expect their day to day duties to consist of;

• To understand the repair, maintenance and refurbishment requirements of the Group.
• To work in conjunction with the Delivery & Planning team to ascertain required works orders on site in accordance with the group’s standard to ensure that work is carried out to the required standard, safely, on time & within budget.
• Recommend improvements to ensure that service delivery meets requirements.
• To liaise with Tenant Liaison Officers, consultation of tenants so that choices can be offered and selections made for key components.

The ideal candidate will have experience of;

• Domestic Property Inspections
• Assessment of maintenance and refurbishment requirements
• Using initiative, planning & forward thinking.

For this role,  the successful applicant is required to hold a full, current & valid driving license.

The post holder will be based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, with travel required throughout the region.
