Early Years Worker - Buckinghamshire College Group

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Create and maintain a stimulating, challenging and child-centred
environment.
2. Plan a routine that meets the all round development needs of the child.
3. Plan and provide appropriate activities in line with national requirements.
4. Undertake domestic duties within the Nursery, e.g. preparation of snacks
and meals and the cleaning of equipment.
5. Regularly assess and record children's individual needs and development
process.
6. Participate in daily discussion concerning immediate issues.
7. Participate in staff meetings, relating to curriculum planning and
development, management, administration, and professional practice.
8. Liaise with parents regarding the continuity of the child's welfare, learning
and development.
9. Create an environment that recognises and values children's individuality
and celebrates their diversity.
10. Maintain a safe, secure and hygienic environment in accordance with Health
and Safety Regulations.
11. Adhere to both College and national policies that relate to the care of the
children.
12. Attend staff meetings twice per month, outside working hours.
13. Be a keyworker to a small group of children
