GEOENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER - READING- GBPCOMPETITIVE

Our Client have an urgent requirement for a Geoenvironmental engineer to join the team based within their Reading office.

The successful Geoenvironmental Engineer should have between 2 - 5 years' experience working in either a consulting or contracting environment. You will have a proven track record in undertaking contaminated land, geotechnical and civil engineering site investigations. Remediation and verification work are also core to this position; however, direct experience is not necessarily required.

As a Geoenvironmental Engineer with you must have a high level of report writing skills and must be able to tailor reports to a range of different scopes. A Masters degree is beneficial either within geological or environmental science disciplines.

The responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Setting up and managing site investigations, remediation and verification works;
  • Accurate and precise recording of the data obtained from site;
  • Management of site based sub-contractors;
  • Generic and site specific risk assessments;
  • Ensuring that health and safety aspects of site investigations are of paramount concern.

The ideal candidate should have experience with the use of borehole software such as HoleBase/AGS and have excellent MS Word and Excel skills, as well as a knowledge of CAD. The candidate should also be prepared to gain an intimate knowledge of all current guidance, as this will be essential.
