Sussex Recruitment requires a Surface Mount Operator for their client in Uckfield. Although initially on a temporary basis for 12 weeks this position will become permanent after a trial period for a suitable applicant. The main purpose of this role will be to programme and operate Pick and Place and associated machinery, plus the assembly and hand placement of electronic components.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate and load pick and place machinery.
Operate and programme re-flow equipment.
Operate automatic and semi-automatic solder paste tables.
Assemble electronic components and solder them to PCB assemblies, check and re-work solder joints.
Hand place components and use re-work tools.
Use the consumable stock control system.
Ensure documentation is latest issue and where required completed accurately.
Keep personal work and communal areas tidy.
Comply with ISO and H&S requirements.
Operate in house maintenance as specified by in house procedures.
Experience of soldering would be useful but is not mandatory and good eyesight is required for this position due to the small components being worked on. Some experience of working a computer would also be an advantage.
Salary GBP8.50 per hour.
