Fitness Instructor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fitness Instructor to join a modern and friendly health and fitness club. The successful Fitness Instructor will be based in Waterbeach, Cambridge and earn a highly competitive salary.

The health and fitness club features a fully equipped modern gym space, as well as studio areas and a spa facility. The club is open to the process of internal promotion, meaning there could be opportunities for progression into more senior roles and management as the business grows. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for making the health and fitness club’s members feel welcome, as well as working with them to achieve their personal goals. In addition, the successful Fitness Instructor’s duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Supervising the gym, making sure members are safe and motivated
• Taking studio classes
• Controlling chemicals and settings for the spa area facilities
• Signing up new members and completing their induction, showing facilities and equipment and how to use them safely
• Engaging with members, providing advice based on your own knowledge regarding equipment and safety
• Covering reception area
• Occasional cleaning and inspection of gym equipment

To be considered for the role of Fitness Instructor you must have demonstrable experience working within a professional fitness environment. In addition, the following key qualities and qualifications are essential: 

• Minimum Level 2 fitness qualification
• Have an obvious passion for the fitness industry
• Happy and positive customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Be ambitious in your future plans to develop within the fitness industry
• Highly committed, enthusiastic and motivated
