Quality Manager

They are now looking for a Quality Manager to join them at their Bristol plant.

The Quality Manager must continually develop, manage and control all aspects of the company Quality Management System, ensuring that processes needed for it to operate effectively are established, implemented and maintained. You must ensure that all areas of ISO9001 are fully complied with across the site and that you carry out regular health check audits against the ISO901 standards and demonstrate improved performance.

Ensuring compliance with all other relevant standards for the industry, you will be the BU contact for BSI (ISO9001) and co-ordinate/host inspections at the Bristol plant in addition to being available to assist with inspections at our Ferrybridge plant.

One of your key roles will be to challenge the current quality testing practices and how they are assigned so that timely decisions are made within our 24/7 manufacturing process and resources are optimised. You will be able to focus on how the quality control team can add more value to the business, including reviewing current testing methods for a more modern approach, by encouraging benchmarking and best practice opportunities. You will also be responsible for benchmarking their business unit’s and competitors’ products and will ensure there is alignment and adherence to their quality plans across the plant and the business unit.

Are you HND or Degree educated? Do you have prior experience as a Quality Manager of an ISO9001 accredited manufacturing company? If so, then they would love to hear from you! They are looking for an individual who has good manufacturing and laboratory practices and who has experience in conducting internal audits and coordinating the receiving of external audits. This role also demands excellent influencing skills to ensure follow up of actions outside of own team and someone who has a flexible approach to working hours when required.

Those who are lean/six sigma green belt trained will be of distinct advantage, as are those who have experience of quality control within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
