Administrator - £20,500 pro rata – HMP Rochester – Part Time Permanent.

Our client has a programme at HMP Rochester which provides rehabilitative services to prisoners coming into the prison who are identified as having a drug or alcohol problem. They have an outstanding opportunity for a highly organised, IT Literate Administrator to join their dynamic prison based team.

The Role

The purpose of this post is to ensure the smooth administration of the service including basic secretarial duties, reception cover, monitoring systems and data collection.

You will have excellent communication skills, and proven experience of managing your own time and workload in a busy, high pressure environment.  You will often be the first point of contact within the department, so will be confident dealing with people from all walks of life, friendly and professional.

You will have demonstrable experience of working in an administration role, with extensive experience of MS Office systems, including Word, Excel and Outlook. It will be extremely beneficial if you have experience, or good working knowledge of the criminal justice system, as well as an understanding of the client group.

A diploma or equivalent in Business Administration or Administration, or the willingness to work towards one, is also desirable.
