This national charity is looking for an exceptional IT Teacher/Instructor to join their Rehabilitation and Training Department at their training centre near Brighton.

Working as a member of a dynamic and collaborative team of teaching professionals, their IT Teachers/Instructors conduct assessments, plan and deliver lessons of the highest quality and provide continuing support to members of the Charity. Their IT Teachers/Instructors also carry out visits to their members' homes, to provide a comprehensive service.

Experience of working with older people, those with sight loss or other disabilities would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.

As all their members have experienced sight loss, they use a variety of assistive technologies to enable them to use modern computing technology to its full potential. (In-service training around this access technology will be provided.)

The majority of their trainees are elderly, however they range in age, ability and experience and their IT Teachers/Instructors must be able to respond to individual needs to deliver training that is relevant and effective, giving veterans the confidence to develop new skills.

The person we are looking for will exemplify the aims and objectives of the Charity and will:

- Hold a nationally recognised teaching/training qualification;
- Demonstrate knowledge and interest in the development of computer technologies;
- Show a willingness to understand and accommodate the needs of a each individual they train;
- Enjoy working in a caring and creative teaching environment;
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to engage in all areas of the Rehabilitation and Training process.
