A fabulous opportunity to join this fast-growing and developing manufacturing company based in Abingdon, now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their finance function.

Zircotec is a fast-growing UK manufacturing business that is rapidly becoming a global brand. At our factory in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, we process and supply performance enhancing components for the automotive and motorsport sectors. Our products are used by major performance vehicle manufacturers; motorsport teams; and aftermarket customers world-wide. Ongoing expansion has created the need to strengthen our finance function.

The ideal Accounts Assistant: Ideally you will be AAT qualified, though candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. You will however have a strong demonstrable background in an accounts role. You will be highly organised, a good communicator and able to work to strict deadlines. Able to work alone and as part of a team, you must be able to multi task with ease, juggling changing priorities, and still able to maintain attention to detail and accuracy in your work. Reporting to the finance director you will at times have a high degree of autonomy, and you will need to be comfortable with this.  

Our Accounts Assistant duties will include but will not necessarily limited to:

- Preparation of monthly management accounts

- Bank reconciliation and petty cash management

- Management of sales / purchase ledger

- Liaise with customers and suppliers professionally to resolve queries - to include debtor management, credit control and cash collection

- Assist in the preparation of annual accounts and audit processes

- Reconciliation of financial accounts

- Manage our internal purchase order process then reconciling purchases against supplier invoices and goods received

- Processing monthly journals

- Processing invoices and expense forms

- Processing of payroll

- Complete company VAT returns

To be successful as our Accounts Assistant, you must be computer literate, ideally with experience on Sage50, and also Microsoft packages.  

Working hours are 8.15 - 5:00 Monday to Thursday, and 8.15 - 4:00 on Friday.
