We have an exciting new opportunity for a Product Consultant to join the team at our Head Office in Wilmslow, Cheshire on a fixed term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of 10 consultants supporting performance across selected products ranges within 500 products and over 7 million live policies across the consumer back book. The specific focus of the role will be to deliver against the CASS Regulatory Framework.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with previous financial services and client monies experience that will support the team and help deliver key objectives for the Legacy Business.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the existing propositions deliver great customer outcomes;
  • Help deliver against the CASS regulatory framework and provide oversight to third parties managing CASS processes for the entities
  • Operate within a robust risk, control and governance regime to facilitate the robust oversight of existing propositions;
  • Ensure existing propositions are technically compliant by operating an effective framework in which we can monitor, influence, oversee and deliver all regulatory and legislative change;
  • Deliver against a clear, risk based proposition review plan in line with risk appetite; and Ensure appropriate governance and oversight of investments and charges for Unit Linked business.
  • Provide requirements for change projects (which look to achieve efficiencies or to rectify conduct issues) and provide appropriate challenge to other business areas such as GCS and recommendations regarding costs and options to senior management.
  • Develop strong relationships with all key partners and internal/external stakeholders such as external auditors and other business areas within Consumer, GCS, GTC, Capita, RLAM and Investment Office.
  • Support management in implementing and embedding the RMS
  • Understand Risk Appetite statements and how they apply to the business area
  • Ensure key business risks are fully understood, controlled and mitigated on the team to ensure local plans are delivered and we meet our regulatory requirements
  • Ensure key controls are tested and
  • Ensure Risk Events are reported, investigated and reported in accordance with the Risk Event & Escalation process
  • Undertakes all mandatory training

Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of Client Money and Client Assets regulations is required.
  • Broad knowledge of financial services products. Knowledge of various Life, Savings and Pension products is preferred. Ability to understand and translate the back book product literature into plain English
  • Experience of implementing change.
