Our client, a well-established UK business, manufactures and sells technical steelwork fixings worldwide. They are now looking for a Receiving Chargehand to join their team in Bradford. 

Over the past 80 years, our client has earned a respected reputation as an innovator and pioneer in their field. You will have the chance to help maintain their standards for excellence by driving the success of key operations within their business. 

As the Receiving Chargehand, you’ll supervise our client’s Warehouse Receiving Department, ensuring that goods are received in a safe, secure and timely manner. 

In this varied role, you will: 

- Motivate and lead your team, ensuring all tasks are completed safely 
- Deliver training to employees 
- Inspect, pick and prepare products 
- Operate production equipment 
- Load finished goods onto transport 
- Strive to minimise waste
- Perform administrative tasks 

To be considered, you’ll need: 

- At least two years’ experience of supervising a team 
- Experience of working within engineering, industrial products and/or fastenings 
- Previous experience of warehouse practices, goods inwards processing, storage and picking 
- Knowledge of goods receiving procedures, including QA
- A City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Warehousing & Storage or equivalent 
- An NVQ Level 3 Supervisory qualification or equivalent   

Self-motivated and organised, as the Receiving Chargehand, you’ll have strong communication skills and a great eye for detail. You’ll also have a strong work ethic and a deadline-oriented approach.
