Do you know what it’s like to be a parent or maybe a grandparent?

Could you support other parents with babies and young children as part of our Family Mentoring Service in Bulwell?

Family Mentors work with families to increase their confidence and abilities by offering support, friendship and practical help. You will visit families in their own homes and, whilst respecting their dignity and identity, emphasise and promote the positive aspects of family life, developing a relationship with the family, sharing time with them, encouraging their parental strengths and emotional well-being and use of support and services available in the community at large.

Family Mentors also run group activities which families attend in local community venues.

We are looking for a full time Family Mentor to increase our team of well-established and successful Family Mentors. If you have energy, drive and a genuine passion for working alongside people in the community we want to hear from you. It’s vital that we have the right person for the role and to make this judgement you will be required to attend a two-day assessment in Nottingham on 14 and 15 March 2018.

Full training will be given in all aspects of the role to the successful candidate.
