Technical Consultant with knowledge of building construction and an aptitude for problem solving is needed by our client, as a leading manufacturer and supplier of waterproofing and dampproofing systems.

They are a one-stop shop for waterproofing below-ground structures - from design, to site visits with recommended installers, to supply of an innovative and extensive range of systems, to technical support.

Having helped domestic and commercial properties as well as major public works preventing flooding, dampness, contamination or salting problems, they are now on the lookout for a like minded member to join their passionate and skilled technical team.

About the Role
As their Technical Consultant, you will be primarily working across the North of England and Scotland.

You will find you day filled with any of the following: providing technical advice and solutions to architects, engineers & contractors, taking part in creative meetings, producing attractive and effective designs, keeping senior team members updated, liaising with clients & other team members, maintaining existing & developing new client relationships, and assisting with the execution of projects where needed.

Training and lifelong learning will be provided.

About You

• Recent graduate or qualified in building construction, surveying, building science or a related discipline
• Knowledge of building construction terminology, modern methods of building construction & structures
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to quickly identify issues and explaining methodology when face with problems and building detailing tasks in both an office environment (when studying technical drawings) & on site (in design team meeting situations)
• Aptitude for designing and problem solving
• Approachable, outgoing & self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written, with reference to standard details and specifications, in bespoke sketch format)
• Business acumen & commercial awareness
• Planning skills
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight on occasion
