A client in Leatherhead are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant. Salary GBP29,000-GBP31,000. The ideal candidate will be Part-Qualified/currently studying for CIMA - please note that study support is offered with this role.
You will work closely with the HR team and the wider business to understand business dynamics and deliverables.
Month end activities:
• Review of all sales, costs & revenues to ensure the integrity of monthly accounts
• Produce balance sheet reconciliations (aim to move to a reviewing capacity)
• Produce accruals / prepayment (aim to move to a reviewing capacity)
• Reconcile deferred revenue position
• Review of supplier / vendor rebates & claims
• Preparation of related journals
• Assistance with producing financial packs for business owners
Cash management:
• Input into long term cash flow forecasting (including FX hedging)
• File and manage VAT return
Employee payments
• Produce salary input for external processing
• Calculate sales commission payments
• Oversee pensions administration
In addition you will be required to provide additional support where appropriate.
Key requirements:
- You must have experience in month-end procedures, VAT returns and cash forecasting.
- You must be vibrant, driven and passionate about best practice
- You must have excellent IT and communication skills
