SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. To support the development and implementation of the College Strategic Marketing and Communications Strategy with a focus on corporate campaign activity and raising the profile of Buckinghamshire College Group as a destination of choice.
2. To implement and evaluate the College marketing and communications strategy, ensuring at all times that the Buckinghamshire College Group brand and corporate identity is managed and developed in line with agreed strategic and operational priorities.
3. To use and understand labour market analysis / economic profiling and market research to help identify new marketing opportunities. To support the development of cross college understanding of market intelligence, recommending campaigns for engagement and business growth.
4. To ensure that potential students / customers have information on Buckinghamshire College Group opportunities in order to assist them in making a decision regarding course choice and future destination.
5. To undertake day-to-day management of the marketing apprentice and their development, setting and managing objectives, coaching and supporting them in their role, planning their workload and ensuring deadlines are met and enforced.

6. To manage budgets, ensuring financial and legal compliance.
7. To liaise and build relationships with external suppliers, media buyers, internal departments and customers/learners.
8. To create reports for line manager, SLT and Governors that evaluate the Marketing department's activities including; key performance information, operating plans, service improvement plans, event evaluations, budget requirement and expenditure, data recording systems and web site and social networking functions. Support the development of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
9. To oversee and contribute to the production and distribution of the whole range of marketing and publicity materials e.g. website and social media platforms, prospectus, brochures, leaflets, posters and press releases, including the proof reading and editing of materials before production to ensure the high quality required and ensuring the brand is adhered to.
10. To maximise opportunities to market programmes, courses and facilities at the College including the co-ordination of advertising and social media. Support campaign activities and manage, organise and evaluate the Buckinghamshire College Group website, promotional events and exhibitions.
11. To ensure that data capture and storage of information complies with legal requirements is robust and updated on a regular basis. To ensure that the marketing department's records and evidence of activities/impact and outcomes are accurately maintained and available for examination by auditors and inspectors.
12. To work on the production of marketing communications such as: social media, newsletters, case studies, blog entries, copy for e-shots and advertising, proactive social media posts. To support the Marketing Assistant in monitoring sites, and maintaining conversations with stakeholders on social media.
13. To work with the Marketing & Communications Officer to provide content, for the website and multi-media tools that increase engagement and encourages repeat visits.
