Our client is a local charity based in Sale, just south of Manchester City Centre. They are dedicated to helping people with learning disabilities live life to the full and they are delighted to help over 200 children, young people and adults, their families and carers every year.

They are looking for someone who can bring a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, energy, enthusiasm and drive, and support service users to live a full a varied life.

You’ll need to be physically fit and able to support users with learning & physical disabilities with all aspects of daily living including personal care, emotional needs and social interaction. You will be an instrumental member of the team and provide person centred support in residential services, community support services, clubs and within service users’ own homes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to progress in to a Senior Support Worker role; coordinating and leading shifts by completing the Senior Competency Assessment.

About You

Do you have the ability to show warmth, compassion and respect for others at all times? Do you have experience of caring or supporting people in either a professional or personal situation? If so, then they would love to hear from you!

They are looking for a highly flexible and committed individual who has the genuine desire to progress within the care industry. You’ll need to have a good standard of reading and writing skills, basic IT skills (Microsoft Word & email) and the ability to carry out a range of household tasks to include preparing basic balanced meals.

Those who hold a QCF/NVQ in Care will be of distinct advantage, as are those who hold a full clean driving licence.
